Aspen Shell & Tube Exchanger

Program for thermal design, checking, or simulation of shell & tube heat exchangers.
These optimize shell-and-tube heat exchanger configuration for specified heat duty, allowable pressure drop, and maximum velocity. When used with Aspen process simulators, it enables engineers to optimize overall plant design for required operating conditions, to identify bottlenecks in operating processes, model process improvements, and optimize maintenance schedules.

Aspen Shell & Tube Mechanical

Mechanical design or rating of shell & tube heat exchangers, or basic pressure vessels
These support mechanical design and rating of shell-and-tube heat exchangers and basic pressure vessels to ASME, CODAP, EN 13445 and AD Merkblätter standards. They cover all categories defined by the Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association (TEMA), as well as specialized units, handles expansion joints and external loading mechanisms, also providing complete bills of materials, detailed drawings, and cost estimates.

FRAN models and rates the thermal performance of conventional closed loop shell and tube feedwater heaters used in power applications. Its rigorous models rapidly resolve complex interactions between desuperheating, condensing and subcooling zones and high-pressure feedwater.
